Michael P. Adams, Writer

Michael P. Adams is a performer, writer, and producer. She is the creator/performer of solo shows Modern Love, and Polly Polly. Her full-length plays include Next to Him, I Will Miss You When You’re Gone, Cam Baby, A Girl Lives Alone and others. Her work has been developed or presented at Great Plains Theatre Conference, Roundabout Theatre, Premiere Stages, Kitchen Dog Theatre, the Toronto International Film Festival, and the Canadian Stage Festival of New Ideas and Creation, among others. As an actor, she has appeared in shows with Necessary Angel/Luminato, Tarragon Theatre, SummerWorks, Sudbury Theatre Centre, the NAC, and many times at the Toronto Fringe. She went to Juilliard.

Chris Millar, Director

Chris is a native Texan freshly returned and replanted from many years in Los Angeles. Chris studied acting at the Beverly Hills Playhouse under Rick Podell, Chick Vennera, and Milton Katselas, and trained in improv at I0 West of Hollywood. He has acted, directed, and produced theater in Los Angeles and is a member of Sacred Fools Theater Co. In addition to stage work, Chris has written and directed short films, one of which progressed to final jury in USA Film Festival's National Short Film competition.

Olivia Cinquepalmi, Nell

OLIVIA CINQUEPALMI (Nell) is so grateful to be a part of A Light in Dark Places and the mission that surrounds it. She has always believed in the power of the arts to heal, connect, and create conversation, and this beautiful collection of plays does that and more. Olivia's recent credits include The Cake (Theatre Arlington), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (The Classics Theatre Project), Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Theatre3), The Last Wide Open (Circle Theatre), and Everybody & Romeo and Juliet (Stage West Theatre). Olivia is a proud OCU alum and is represented by the Kim Dawson Agency. Stephen Brodie, Ezra

Stephen Brodie is an actor, a writer, and a filmmaker. He has appeared in numerous films and television shows, such as FEAR THE WALKING DEAD, acting alongside Lenny James, Disney's THE LONE RANGER, acting alongside Johnny Depp and William Fichtner, and PUPPET MASTER: THE LITTLEST REICH, as well as the horror-thriller THE RAKE and recently-released horror-drama THE LAST POSSESSION. As a filmmaker, he has produced featured films, as well as written, directed, and produced a number of short films. He was also once beaten up by Gary Coleman. This is Stephen's second appearance in A Light In Dark Places, and he's very grateful for being invited back.

Nancy Sherrard, Mother

Nancy Sherrard received her theatrical training at University of Oklahoma, The Royal National Theater of London and has studied Meisner Technique with Terry Martin and Advanced Scene work with Del Shores. Theater credits include Mag in "The Beauty Queen of Leenane" at Breckenridge Onstage, Janis in "Hands on a Hard Body" at Theater Three, Actor 6/Mrs Alexander in Curious Incident of the Dog in the Nightime, Sister Aloysuis in "Doubt, A Parable" and, Mattie Fae Aiken in "August: Osage County for Watertower Theater

Her most recent performance was as John Quincy Adams, George Washngton, Abigal and Louisa in JQA for Stage West. Ms. Sherrard voices characters for Funimation Studio. Ms. Sherrard is represented by Callidus Agency.

Savannah Lloyd, Jackie

SAVANNAH LLOYD she/her (Jackie) is a multi-faceted storyteller with performance and production credits spanning from Off-Broadway to non-profit theatre. Lauren Leblanc, Director

Lauren LeBlanc (Director, “Packing”) is a Dallas-based actor, writer, and educator. Locally, she’s performed with Casa Mañana, Circle Theatre, Second Thought Theatre, and Theatre Three. As an educator, she’s taught and directed for Broadway Dallas, Shakespeare Dallas, and in private master classes. Lauren studied at Texas State, the University of Louisville, and SUNY-Stony Brook. She's a member of Actors' Equity Association, the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, and is represented by Kim Dawson Talent. Jule Nelson-Duac, Fiona

Jule Nelson-Duac is an actor, director, and producer who spent many years in Los Angeles working with such companies as Warner Bros, Cartoon Network, and The Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles. She holds an MFA from Shakespeare Theatre Company’s Academy at George Washington University, a BFA in Theatre from Texas Christian University, and is a member of the Society of American Fight Directors. Some of her past credits include The Eternal Feminine in Wittenberg (Amphibian Stage Productions), Rosalind in As You Like It (Stolen Shakespeare Guild), Abigail Williams in The Crucible (Tarrant Actors Regional Theatre), and Katherine in Henry V (Unrehearsed Shakespeare Company). She also produced and wrote an adaptation of Twelfth Night, currently streaming on Amazon Prime.

Bill Brohaugh, Writer

Bill is the author of thousands of produced short-form radio scripts, written for the nationally syndicated radio personality Gary Burbank for 20+ years. The former editor of Writer's Digest magazine, Bill has authored published books and hundreds of magazine articles about writing and other topics, and spoken about writing many times to other writers.

Lisa Holt, Writer

Lisa is a retired pharmacist with a 40-year background in theatre. As a reed doubler, her focus is on musical theatre, where she performs frequently as a pit musician and serves as an orchestra manager. More recently she accidentally discovered she enjoys writing with Bill. The results of that prize-winning play collaboration have been fully produced or presented in staged readings on both coasts and many places between, which she thinks is cool.

Bill and Lisa are honored that A Light in Dark Places selected their work to help bring awareness to the impact and prevention of suicide through the accessibility of the performing arts.

Ale Fips, Director

Ale Fips is from Guadalajara, México. Ale is an actress, singer and  producer that began her career at a very young age in shows for the FIL (International Book Fair)  for more than 4 years.  At age 15 she starred in the musical: El Principe Rana, performing more than 300 shows as princess Nadia. She moved to Mexico City playing a role on the Spanish version of Disney’s High School Musical. She has also been part of several TV series including Código Paranormal (LATV), La Rosa de Guadalupe, Como dice el Dicho (Univision) making a name for herself in Mexico, United States and other countries. She moved to the States in 2014 and Study at the Stella Adler Academy of acting LA. Her NYC credits include: “Seucy and Boto” “Undefined Fraction”(Loco 7 company); “Judgment on a Gray Beach” (La Mama, experimental theatre).

Isabelle Culpepper, Dr. Jorgensen

Isabelle Culpepper is so excited to be part of A Light in Dark Places again this year. She first participated in 2019, acting as the Vagabond in I'll Tell You at Sunrise. Isabelle is an actor in the DFW area whenever she has time, as well as full-time art director / graphic designer at JPT Graphics in Irving, and a part-time Zumba instructor. Favorite roles include Gabriella in Boeing Boeing (Mainstage Irving Las Colinas), Madge in Games Afoot (Richardson Theatre Center), and Jayne Mansfield in Dead Wait (Festival of Independent Theatres). She especially loves any show she gets to work on with her husband, Jared, and daughter, Sofia. As is the case with many people, Isabelle has had some experience with friends and family dealing with suicide or suicidal thoughts, and fully recognizes the importance of support and prevention, and believes ALIDP can help make a difference. She is eternally grateful for the love and support from her friends and family.

Mikaela Baker, Blair

Mikaela Baker is a stage and screen actor, writer, and soon-to-be director, based out of Dallas, TX. She received her BA in Theatre from Vanderbilt University. You may have most recently seen her on stage in a production of Moon Man Walk and Plenty of Time at Jubilee Theatre. As a mental health advocate, Mikaela is very excited to be involved with A Light in Dark Places and hopes everyone fortunate enough to come to the show leaves touched and inspired to have conversations surrounding the topic of mental health.

Morgana Wilborn, Director

MORGANA WILBORN (she/her/hers) was raised, and is a current resident of Dallas, TX (Stolen land once stewarded by the Caddo, Wichita, Comanche, Cherokee, Kickapoo, and Tawakoni). She is a proud graduate of the University of North Texas (BA, Theater), and The University of Houston (MA Theater Education). For the past 14 years, she has served the community as an arts educator/administrator. She currently served as the Managing Director of Bishop Arts Theatre Center (BATC), and Co-Managing Director at DNAWORKS LLC, Dialogue and Healing Through the Arts. She was the Director of Education at Dallas Theater Center (DTC) and continues as an Adjunct Professor of Theater and Humanities at Eastfield and El Centro College, and now University of North Texas, Dallas. Before serving for DTC and DNAWORKS, she served for 8 years as a theater director and instructor for Dallas ISD. She has directed and acted for the stage with companies such as Bishop Arts Theater Center, University of North Texas, TheaterMakers Studio, Kitchen Dog Theatre, Artstillery, SMU Meadows School of the Arts, Stage West Theater, Soul Rep Theatre, Cara Mia Theatre Company, Water Tower Theater, and House Party Theatre. She is also a certified Racial Healing practitioner. As a proud African American artist, educator, and activist, Morgana hopes to honor, uplift, and empower bodies of culture in her service to the community through mindful engagement and equitable collaboration.

Thad Isbell, Grandpa

Thad Isbell is a veteran stage/film actor who serves on the Board of Directors for Hip Pocket Theatre. He has worked with Firestage, Teatro de la Rosa, Butterfly Connection, Hip Pocket Theatre, The Lost Shakespeare Guild, Ft Worth Community Theatre, Fair Park Company, Vertical Horizon Films, FineLine Films and others. Thad is grateful for the opportunity to work with this talented cast in 'A Light in Dark Places'. Thanks to everyone involved.



Tilly Zinser, Terri

Tilly Zinser is acting in the role of Terri, for the play Joie de Vivre, as part of the performances for A Light in Dark Places. At 11 years old, Tilly’s affinity for performance and theatre developed in Shakespeare Dallas’summer camp programs, where she has acted in a performance of Macbeth and A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Acting in several roles for each play in Shakespeare Dallas’ summer camp performances, Tilly’s roles in Macbeth included Macduff, Witch 2, and Ghost of Banquo; and for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Tilly played the roles of Hermia and Bottom. Tilly’s school activities include competing in Destination Imagination, where she has performed improv, created sets, prop design, and acted as a part of several competitions and plays for Destination Imagination, including most recently a Flip the Script re-telling of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Beyond theatre and performance, Tilly’s achievements also include being elected as the Class President in 4thgrade, and this year, Tilly continues to serve her role of Class President, now for her 5th grade class at the School for the Talented and Gifted in Pleasant Grove. Tilly has also been training in martial arts since she was 4 years old, and has recently earned the rank of San Kyu (Brown III) in Kenpo Karate, where she is also a part of the youth leadership program.

MEAGAN HARRIS (She/Her/Hers) is delighted to be joining the team for A Light in Dark places as co-producer as well as playing the role of LILLIAN in The Aggravations of Izzy this year! She is proud to have earned her Bachelor's in Fine Arts in Acting and a Bachelor's of Arts in Art History from Southern Methodist University. She is also delighted to be represented by the Mary Collins Agency for film and television. Meagan has most recently been seen around town at Amphibian Stage Productions, the Undermain, Kitchen Dog Theatre, IMPRINT Theatreworks, Shakespeare Everywhere and Teatro Dallas as well as performing in her recently co-founded theatre company: Auriga Productions. She is looking forward to joining Fair Assembly in their production of Shakespeare's As You Like It coming up this summer. Shalisha Sheridan, Waitress

Shalisha Sheridan is a 23 year old actress from Birmingham Alabama. She thrives in both stage and film. She hopes to find more freedom in her technique on camera and center stage.
